Why don’t you have a studio? 

When Photography By Ski went into business, we decided to cater to you:  your schedule and your needs.  By only going on location, you have so many options…in terms of convenience, backgrounds, the use of large props.  Personally, we think it is unnecessary to have to take time off from work (along with your spouse) and take your children out of school or daycare to have a family portrait taken. 

 

What are your hours of business?

We don’t have standard hours of operation.  Because Photography By Ski only goes on location, most of our appointments are on the weekend or after 6:00pm during the week.  But you don’t have to schedule an appointment on the weekend or in the evening. We truly will work around your schedule.  Let us know what you need. 

 

Is there an additional charge for weekend or weeknight appointments?

No.

 

Why should I hire Photography By Ski?

There are several reasons for this.  First, you never have to come to us.  We come to you for the session, we post your images online (password protected) and we deliver the final order to you.  Second, we are owner operated which means we can customize your session just for you and your family.

 

How long does a portrait session take?

We recommend that you plan on two hours…even though most sessions take less than this.  It is better to have time left over than to run out of time.

 

How do I prepare for my session?

Photography By Ski will consult with you on how to make your portrait session the very best that it can be.

 

Anything I should absolutely avoid before my session?

Yes!  Do not have your hair cut or styled differently one week prior to your session.  This goes for wedding as well.  Also, make sure you and your family is relaxed the day of your portrait session.  Try to remove as much stress as you can.  A relaxed family is a happy family and a happy family takes greats portraits!

 

Do you offer retouching?

Yes!  All clients receive minor professional retouching as part of the cost.  If your images require major retouching, we can do that too and we’ll always quote you a price before any work is done.

 

How can I save money on my portraits?

Become a VIP Member (it’s free).  Our members never pay full price unless they want to or choose not to take advantage of an exclusive offer we sent to them.  As a VIP Member, you will receive our informative and entertaining weekly e-zine, SnapShots, every Monday morning…with tips and suggestions you can use right away.

 

Also…we offer all of our clients a 3% cash discount if you are paying by cash, money order, personal check or certified check.  Of course, if you’d prefer to pay by credit card…that’s fine too.  You just can’t get the cash discount.
